Your arrival in Marbella, sorted before you land

Marbella is the most requested destination from Málaga Airport, and for good reason: in under an hour you go from the arrivals hall to the Old Town, the Golden Mile or your villa in the hills. The difference between a good and a bad start to the holiday is usually the first hour — queues at the taxi rank in summer, a meter that keeps running in traffic, or a bus that leaves you at the station with your suitcases.

With a pre-booked private transfer you know the price before you travel, your driver follows your flight, and the car is waiting for you whatever time you land. The same fixed price applies at 4 a.m. on a Sunday in August as on a Tuesday afternoon in February.

Where we drop you off in Marbella

Marbella is a long municipality: almost 30 km of coastline from Cabopino to the edge of Estepona. The price above covers all of it, from the Old Town to the villas in the hills. These are the areas we drive to every day:

Old Town and city centre

The whitewashed lanes around Plaza de los Naranjos are pedestrian, so we drop you at the closest point a car can reach — usually Avenida Ramón y Cajal or Avenida del Mar — a two-minute walk from most boutique hotels and apartments.

El Fuerte, Amàre Beach Hotel, boutique hotels in the Old Town

The Golden Mile

The stretch between the city centre and Puerto Banús, with the most famous hotels and private villas of the Costa del Sol. We drive right up to reception or to your villa gate.

Marbella Club, Puente Romano, Nobu Hotel Marbella, Gran Meliá Don Pepe, Boho Club

Puerto Banús and Nueva Andalucía

The marina, the shops and the golf valley (Las Brisas, Los Naranjos, Aloha). Banús has its own fare because it is a few kilometres further west.

Hotel Benabola, PYR Marbella, Hard Rock Hotel Marbella

East Marbella: Río Real, Las Chapas, Elviria, Cabopino

Quiet beach areas and residential estates on the way in from the airport. Elviria has its own, slightly lower fare.

Marriott’s Marbella Beach Resort, Don Carlos, Los Monteros

Villas and gated estates in the hills

Sierra Blanca, El Madroñal, La Zagaleta, Cascada de Camoján… Many are gated: send us the exact address or a map pin and any access code, and we will deliver you to the door.

San Pedro Alcántara

Officially part of Marbella, 15 minutes west of the centre, with the boulevard and Guadalmina. It has its own fare.

NH Marbella, Guadalmina Spa & Golf Resort

The route: 52 km along the coast

From the airport we join the A-7 westbound and pass Torremolinos, Benalmádena and Fuengirola. After Fuengirola there are two options to Marbella: the AP-7 toll motorway (Autopista del Sol), which runs inland, has much less traffic and is the one we use by default, or the A-7 coastal road (the old N-340), which is free but crosses Calahonda, Elviria and the eastern entrance to Marbella with roundabouts and traffic lights.

In normal traffic the journey takes 40–45 minutes to central Marbella. On summer Saturdays — the main changeover day for holiday rentals — and on Friday evenings, allow up to an hour. The AP-7 toll is not included in the fare (around 7–8 € depending on the season) and is paid at the booth; if you prefer to save it, tell us and we will take the coastal road, which adds about 20 minutes.

Meeting your driver at Málaga Airport

1

Most international flights arrive at Terminal 3. After passport control and baggage reclaim, walk through the exit doors into the arrivals hall.

2

Your driver will be standing there with a sign with your name. We track your flight, so if it lands early or late the driver adjusts automatically.

3

The first 60 minutes after landing are free — enough for lost luggage or a long passport queue. If you need more, just send us a WhatsApp.

4

The driver helps with your luggage and walks you to the car park, a short walk from the terminal. In about 40–45 minutes you are in Marbella.

Going back: Marbella to Málaga Airport

The return transfer costs the same as the arrival and can be booked in the same reservation. We pick you up at your hotel, apartment or villa at the time you choose.

As a rule, book the pickup about 3 hours before a flight within the Schengen area and 3½ hours before flights to the United Kingdom and other non-Schengen countries in high season, when passport control queues are longest. That leaves time for the drive and any traffic around Fuengirola.

Good to know before you travel

Golf bags and bulky luggage

Marbella is one of Europe’s golf capitals. Two golf bags fit in the estate; for three or four players with bags, choose the minivan.

Travelling with children

Baby seats, child seats and boosters are free. Tell us the children’s ages when booking and the seats will be fitted before we arrive.

Late-night arrivals

No night surcharge. Many flights from northern Europe land after 11 p.m.; your driver will be there, and the price is the one you booked.

Summer events

During the Starlite festival, big golf tournaments and Easter week, demand peaks. Book early to secure your vehicle, especially if you need a minivan.

Frequently asked questions

How much is a taxi from Málaga Airport to Marbella?

With us the price is fixed: 75 € in a sedan (1–4 passengers), 86 € in an estate and 113 € in a minivan (5–8 passengers). It is per vehicle, not per person, with VAT included and no night or weekend surcharge. A taxi from the rank charges by meter plus airport supplements, so the final price depends on traffic.

How long is the drive from Málaga Airport to Marbella?

About 40–45 minutes to central Marbella (52 km) via the AP-7. On summer Saturdays and at rush hour it can take up to an hour.

Is the AP-7 motorway toll included?

No. The toll is not included in the fixed price and is paid separately at the booth (around 7–8 € depending on the season). If you prefer, we can take the free A-7 coastal road, which adds about 20 minutes.

What happens if my flight is delayed?

Nothing — we track your flight and adjust the pickup to the real landing time at no cost. The 60 minutes of free waiting start when the plane actually lands.

Where will the driver be waiting?

In the arrivals hall, just after the exit doors, holding a sign with your name. You will also receive the phone number to contact us by WhatsApp.

Do I have to pay in advance?

No. You book without prepayment and pay the driver at the end of the trip. Cancellation is free up to 24 hours before pickup.

Can you drop me in Marbella Old Town or at a villa in the hills?

Yes. In the Old Town we stop at the nearest point a car can reach, a couple of minutes’ walk away. For villas and gated estates, send us the exact address or a map pin and we take you to the door.

Do you provide child seats?

Yes, free of charge: baby seats (0–1), child seats (1–4) and boosters (4+). Indicate how many you need when booking.

How much is the return from Marbella to the airport?

The same price: 75 € in a sedan, 86 € in an estate and 113 € in a minivan. You can book both trips in the same reservation.

Is there a bus from Málaga Airport to Marbella?

Yes, there are direct coaches from the airport to Marbella bus station. They are cheaper per person, but the station is on the north side of town, so most travellers still need a taxi to their hotel, and with luggage or children the private transfer is usually more convenient. For 3 or more passengers the transfer often costs about the same.
